Fans of electronic music would know of the legendary Solomun who has been the driving force behind the long-running Solomun +1 series and remains one of the most influential figures on the global stage.
Fourteen years since, Solomun +1 continues to remain one of Ibiza’s most distinctive residencies; as a Sunday night institution shaped by trust, selection, and the chemistry between Solomun and the artists that he invites into his world.

This week at Pacha Ibiza, the stage took on a particularly personal form when acclaimed British actor and DJ Idris Elba joined him for a rare back-to-back (B2B) set. The two first met at a spontaneous B2B at Glastonbury’s Guerrilla Bar, where the chance moment behind the decks grew into a personal connection and clear mutual respect.

At Pacha Ibiza, the two friends gave the night a truly unique shine with Idris Elba opening from midnight to 2.30am, and Solomun taking over from 2.30am to 5am. The two then came together for a set lasting from 5am until close.
For Idris, the set carried the inspiration of playing alongside an artist he clearly respects while Solomun’s set reflected the kind of personal ethos that has always sat at the heart of the +1 residency.
This edition of +1 arrived just one week after Solomun opened the brand new Pacha Brooklyn, which brought back his esteemed relationship with the club to New York in a rare move during the Ibiza season.
Solomun returns next Sunday for an all-night solo set, followed by July appearances from Skrillex, Jamie xx, Peggy Gou, and Anyma. You can expect more +1 guests to come every Sunday at Pacha Ibiza until it’s closing on 4 October.
