The Dyson CameraJet™ is the first toothbrush in the world that features a built-in macro camera designed to see, target and floss between your teeth as you brush. The device addresses the bad habit of skipping string floss by combining brushing, water flossing, and rinsing into a single automated daily routine. It doesn’t just streamline these three steps, it also tackles plaque build-up, which regular electric toothbrushes usually leave behind.
Here’s where it gets techie. At the core of the system, a 100,000-pixel macro lens uses Dyson’s Gap Optical Targeting™ AI to analyse 28 frames per second, instantly spotting interdental spaces in real time. Within 100 milliseconds of spotting a space, the handle fires a targeted burst of mouth rinse directly into plaque-prone areas. Therefore delivering a broader, gentler sweep than traditional needle type water flossers. An internal 12.5ml anti-gravity tank uses a diaphragm pump to maintain constant fluid pressure even when turned upside down to reach back molars, while built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stream a live endoscopic feed straight to the MyDyson™ app on your phone for real time coverage mapping.
The device is available in Ceramic Pink and Ceramic Ultra Blue, and comes with a sleek charging dock that refills the internal fluid reservoir in just three seconds. Dyson has also formulated custom non-foaming toothpastes and low foaming mouth rinses in Spearmint and Ginger Mint to keep the camera lens clear during use.
The Dyson Dental System retails at $699 SGD, with refills priced at $15 for mouth rinse, $15 for standard toothpaste, and $18 for the sensitive formula. To see the technology in person, Dyson is hosting a pop-up with hands on demonstrations at Ion Orchard, B4 Atrium from 12–27 September.
