The Oasia x Woosa Sleep Experience was the first-time I felt like I had a real good night’s sleep

Sleep is something we love but often don’t seem to get enough of, even if we try and get as much winks as we can in our hectic lives. The same can be said when we are on holiday, thinking that we can get that much needed rest now that we’re away from work, only to be pulled out of bed by a million and one things to do on our itinerary.

It is perhaps the reason why there are now a growing number of individuals, like me, that are looking to plan for holidays where we get to focus on sleep instead of play.

Motivated to address this emerging trend of travellers, Oasia by Far East Hospitality and Woosa Sleep have partnered exclusively to launch a year-long, sleep-focused experience in 12 suites and apartments across all Oasia properties in Singapore and Malaysia — to provide a tailored rest-to-rise experience that blends Woosa’s advanced sleep innovation with Oasia’s dedication to holistic wellness.

As someone who was already seeking a staycation like this, I jumped at the first opportunity I had to experience this for myself.

A good night’s sleep at Oasia Resort Sentosa

Prior to my arrival at Oasia Resort Sentosa, I didn’t really have much expectations as I was solely focused on getting my much needed rest on the Woosa mattress but I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from the moment I stepped into the hotel.

Instead of having to do the check-in process at the reception, I was led straight to my room by a guest service executive, who then got me checked-in in the comfort of my room.

At Oasia Resort Sentosa, the exclusive Woosa mattresses are fitted in the two Duplex Suites which are located at each corner of the sixth level in the Palawan Wing.

During check-in, I was also guided through the activities that were happening on property as well as at other Far East Hospitality hotels (namely Village Hotel Sentosa and The Outpost Hotel Sentosa) in the precinct. These included wellness workshops, aqua boxing, and movie nights that are laid out in a schedule for easy reference.

After the administrative process was done, it was time for me to enjoy the room’s amenities.

For reference, here’s a look at what is offered at Oasia Resort Sentosa as part of the experience:

  • Daily a-la-carte breakfast
  • Access to the sauna in Oasia Spa
  • 60-min Oasia Signature Spa for 2
  • Complimentary fitness activities / wellness workshops
  • Wellness snacks
  • Turndown gifts
  • Complimentary Sleep Kit which consists of a Woosa Silk Eye Mask, a set of earplugs, and Woosa’s Midnight Rain Essential Oil

As part of the campaign, the Duplex Suite at Oasia Resort Sentosa had been fitted with Woosa’s premium products that included its Original PLUSH King mattress with premium Sonocore Latex and European-made Memory Foams, an adjustable bed base with customised settings, a curated follow menu featuring specially developed Talalay Latex and Dunlop Latex foam pillows, and a custom silk duvet made from 100% grade 6A silk.

The Woosa mattress.

Woosa’s original plush mattress offers a brand new level of comfort without the use of springs, thanks to the brand’s revolutionary foam combination which provides a soft, pillowy top that balances perfectly with a bouncy firm core for an ultimate level of medium-firm.

Unlike the usual hotel beds that you might find too hard or too soft, Woosa’s mattress offered an incredible comfortable support that made it feel as if I was being cradled to sleep. Even though I am a deep sleeper, I often find it difficult to stay asleep throughout the night when I am not in my own bed.

I was initially worried that this would be the same case but I was surprisingly able to sleep until I naturally woke with no incidences of tossing or turning.

This great sleep was further supported, in my opinion, by other factors that included Woosa’s adjustable base as well as the silk duvet and tencel lyocell bedding, which were extremely soft to the touch and felt light against the skin.

Another complementing factor, the Woosa Adjustable Base, is what I would call a work of wonder that provides you with three different options — Anti-Snore, TV, and Zero Gravity — to find your ideal sleeping position.

As someone who often snores when I am super tired, I decided to try out the Anti-Snore option which is said to offer a natural head tilt position that helps to improve airflow and reduce snoring.

While there wasn’t anyone around who could tell me if I snored less, I could feel the effects on my body especially the throat, which was less scratchy and dry. I even felt more well-rested, which was surprising since I did have a late night.

Even though I only stayed a night, the Oasia x Woosa Sleep Experience showed me how a good night’s sleep really felt, and while it is not possible to replicate the same experience at home, it has showed me how important it was to pay attention to my sleep health, even on the busiest of days.

The Oasia x Woosa Sleep Experience at Oasia Resort Sentosa is priced at $3,000 for 2 nights. To book your experience at this hotel or other participating Oasia properties, click here.
