LEGO once again brings our dreams to life with a brick version of the Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera. It resembles the real thing, even down to its moving parts; but do note that this is really just a toy. As much as you hope it’ll take actual photos, it’s just meant to be built, and then sit on your shelf to look pretty.
There are 516 pieces to build this replica, and the box labels it as ages 18+, but LEGO bricks isn’t about age and I’m pretty sure my 12-year-old can put this together on her own.
The base opens just like the real thing, and there are LEGO “photos” to play pretend with. You and the whole family will get a kick out of this; until it lands up on your shelf for the rest of its life, of course.
Cool features of the build include a viewfinder, an exposure compensation dial on the front of the camera, a red shutter button that ejects the Polaroid film, and a separate storage box for the three pieces of “film” that this comes with. Fun fact: one of the photos has a picture of Polaroid inventor, Edwin H. Land.
The LEGO Ideas Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera will be priced at $129.90, and available from 1st January 2024. Visit Lego’s OFFICIAL WEBSITE for full details.
