Tiffany & Co. makes debut as first luxury jeweller on Netflix in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein

Tiffany & Co. has partnered with the biggest streaming service, Netflix, for a luxury jewellery debut in Guillermo del Toro’s highly-anticipated film, Frankenstein, which features some of the house’s archival designs from its storied collection.

One of these jewellery which you’ll get to see in the film is the Wade Necklace, which is worn by Elisabeth (played by Mia Goth) and handcrafted from platinum, 18 karat gold, and over 40 carats of diamonds.

Having been entwined with some of Hollywood’s most iconic moments, this new collaboration not only showcases Tiffany & Co.’s pioneering spirit in its heritage and craftsmanship, it also establishes its longstanding connection to the cinematic world and culture.

In celebration of the premiere of Frankenstein, Tiffany & Co. has teamed up with director Guillermo del Toro to design an immersive window display that reflects Victor Frankenstein’s laboratory window, at the house’s Fifth Avenue flagship, The Landmark, in New York City.

Each of these five windows will feature a reimagination of the pivotal scenes from the film, brought to life with the house’s signature artistry and theatrical magic, through specially designed digital screens and animation, synchronised to the film’s dramatic score, composed by Academy Award-winner Alexandre Desplat.

In addition to this, The Landmark will also showcase Tiffany & Co. jewels from The Tiffany Archives that were featured in the film, offering a look at how the house bridged their artistry with Guillermo’s celebrated vision.

The celebration of the film continues across the pond in London at The Old Selfridges Hotel with the exhibition, Frankenstein: Crafting A Tale Eternal.

Running from now to 9 November, the exhibition offers a deep dive into Guillermo’s elaborate filmmaking process alongside film artefacts, artwork, rare books curated to honour Mary Shelly’s legacy, as well as recreations of the archival Tiffany & Co. objects on original costumes designed by Kate Hawley.

Entry to Frankenstein: Crafting A Tale Eternal is free. To book your slot for the exhibition, visit Selfridges.com.
