Didn’t manage to get your hands on a pair of adidas NMDs? That’s okay, you can either look for em’ on the resale market (Carousell, eBay, etc.) or wait for the next drop. Just prepare to pay a little higher than the retail price if you’re going for the former.
Or, you could check out adidas Originals’ latest addition to its ZX Flux series, the ZX Flux ADV. This sneaker is a style update of the classic ZX Flux silhouette and is meant for a newer, more mature and discerning kind of wearer. Here’s a little history: back in 2014, adidas Originals decided to bring back the 1988 ZX 8000 and give it a fresh spin in the form of the ZX Flux. It was updated with a one-piece upper but retained the ZX 8000 plastic heel counter and classic Torsion-infused sole unit. The new ZX Flux ADV was designed and crafted around the theme of “expression”, embodying the same winning design principles of the original ZX Flux series, but in a more polished and sophisticated package. It features a seamless, breathable perforated mesh upper, rubberised 3-stripes on the sides and a transparent, moulded heel cage.
adidas Originals ZX Flux ADV, $139-$149. Available at adidas Originals stores.
