Jabra launches its most advanced professional headset — the Evolve3 85

Jabra’s quite known for office and business audio solutions, and in recent years, have stepped away from the consumer market to be even more focused on enterprise audio. And the latest hardware is the company’s most advanced professional headset — the over-the-ear Jabra Evolve3 85 headphones.

The headphones come in very basic box packaging, which I love. It’s industrial, recyclable and minimal. Then the headphones case within is crafted from premium, lightweight fabric. It’s in a bean shape that fits the headphones exactly, making it as compact as possible and easy to slip into your bag.

As for the headphones, my first reaction was that it was unbelievably light at 220g (in comparison, the Apple AirPods Max 2 weigh 386.2g). So light that you won’t feel any weight on your head even after hours of wear. The breathable cushions and slim profile also help it avoid the bulky “conference headset” look that’s unflattering.

It’s also a consumer-friendly design. Unlike traditional office headsets, the Evolve3 85 hides its microphone system inside the earcups, giving it a sleeker appearance that feels more like everyday headphones than corporate equipment. And Jabra pairs that design with AI-powered voice isolation technology called ClearVoice, which is trained to separate your speech from background noise during calls.

Apart from its sleek design and super light frame, Evolve3 85’s battery life is where the device becomes genuinely impressive. Jabra claims up to 120 hours of music playback and roughly 25 hours of talk time, which puts it well ahead of many premium wireless headphones currently on the market. Fast charging adds another layer of convenience for people constantly on the move.

The Evolve3 85 is also built for people who spend most of their day in meetings. Adaptive active noise cancellation helps reduce office chatter and commuting noise, while certifications for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet make the headset feel purpose-built for professional communication.

Still, this is not necessarily the ideal headset for everyone. Audiophiles focused purely on music quality or top-tier noise cancellation may still prefer dedicated consumer headphones from Sony or Bose. Some early user feedback has praised the microphone quality and comfort but described the ANC as good rather than class-leading.

Ultimately, the Jabra Evolve3 85 feels best suited to hybrid professionals, executives, consultants, remote workers and frequent travellers who spend hours every week on calls and want one device that can smoothly transition between work and personal use. It is less about studio-grade music performance and more about creating a polished, friction-free everyday experience for modern work life.

The Jabra Evolve3 85 is priced at $890 for USB-C to USB-A, and $990 for USB-C with wireless charging stand.
