Emirates Elevates their Premium Economy Seating

Emirates is setting a new standard for mid-tier cabin travel with the introduction of the world’s first electrically-powered Premium Economy seat on its incoming Airbus A350 fleet. Moving away from traditional cabin layouts, the airline has integrated an adjustable privacy screen between every seat. Passengers can raise or lower this divider at the touch of a button for better personal space and privacy.

The seating has been designed to maximise ergonomic support alongside other technological upgrades. Using an integrated control unit, passengers can transition the fully electric seats between dedicated lounge and meal modes. Comfort is further supported by the Safran Seats U-Dream headrest, which features adjustable wings for tailored neck support; plus, there’s a deployable leather footrest.

And for the first time, the cabin introduces wireless device charging paired with USB-C ports and a 13.3 inch 4K HDR touchscreen. As an added feature on the new A350 aircraft, passengers can access new left and right exterior camera views through the entertainment system.

Beyond the cabin hardware, Emirates has refined its inflight service to bridge the gap between Premium Economy and Business Class. Passengers get a choice of regionally-inspired gourmet menus accompanied by a curated beverage list that includes exclusive offerings like Chandon Vintage Brut 2021, premium Chablis, and Bordeaux wines.

As for long-haul routes, travellers receive sustainable amenity kits designed in partnership with United for Wildlife, which include plant-powered Aveda skincare products.
