Apple introduces the new iPad Air built with the powerful M3 Chip

Promising faster and a more powerful user experience, Apple’s new iPad Air with M3 brings the brand’s advanced graphics architecture to iPad Air for the first time — taking its combination of power-efficient performance and portability to a new level with support for dynamic caching, along with hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing.

Compared to its predecessors, the iPad Air with M3 gives you the ability to be productive and creative wherever you are, no matter the intensity of the apps or files you might be working with.

The powerful M3 chip offers a number of improvements over the M1 chip and previous generation models, with a more powerful 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU that provides up to 40 percent faster graphics performance than the M1.

For graphics-intensive rendering workflows, the iPad Air with M3 has up to 4x faster performance than the iPad Air with M1, which is enables it to give you more accurate lighting, reflections, shadows, and extremely realistic gaming experiences.

The faster Neural Engine in M3 also means that you’ll get to enjoy even more AI capabilities using the iPadOS, which is 60 percent faster for AI-based workloads as compared to the M1.

Built for Apple Intelligence, the new iPad Air with M3 delivers helpful and relevant intelligence across various tools. 

In Photos, the Clean Up tool makes it easy to remove distracting elements in images, and natural language search allows you to describe what you are looking for in a search for any photo or video.

Over on the Notes app, you can make notes more visually engaging by using the Image Wand to turn rough sketches into delightful images. You can even use the Apple Pencil to circle an empty space within a note and Image Wand will gather context from the surrounding area to create a relevant image that complements the note.

ChatGPT has also been seamlessly integrated into Writing Tools and Siri, removing the need for you to jump between applications when you’re using it. Additionally, you can access ChatGPT for free without creating an account and still get built-in privacy protections as you stay in full control of when to use the tool and what information can be shared with ChatGPT.

Magic Keyboard for iPad Air

There are now more things you can do with your device, thanks to the all-new Magic Keyboard for iPad Air. With the larger built-in trackpad, you are now able to bring greater precision for detail-oriented tasks, and access features like screen brightness and volume controls easily with a new 14-key function row.

Aside from being able to magnetically attach to your iPad Air, there’s also a Smart Connector which immediately connects power and data without the need for Bluetooth, as well as a machined aluminium hinge that includes a USB-C connector for charging.

The iPad Air with M3 is priced from $899 (for the 11-inch model) and from $1,199 (for the 13-inch model). 
Both models are available for pre-order now online at apple.com/sg/store, and through the Apple Store app. It will be available at the Apple Store and Apple Authorised Resellers staring 12 March.
The Magic Keyboard for iPad Air starts at $399 (for the 11-inch model) and $449 (for the 13-inch model).
