Taking their design cues from the DW-5000C that was first seen in 1983, the two new additions to the G-SHOCK Full Metal Origin series blends the timeless sports style of the original with a contemporary, elevated look and feel for an effortless style that can be worn in both cosmopolitan landscapes, and off-road adventures.
The GMW-B5000D-1C ($799) and the GM-B2100SD-1C ($799) features a stainless steel bezel which has a similar look to the DW-5000C’s resin band in a new, full-metal composition, and a stainless steel case which maintains the airtight screw-back design of the original model.
This keeps in line with G-SHOCK’s reputation for excellent durability and water resistance that is achieved through fine resin cushioning material between the bezel and the case.
Inspired by its predecessor, the new timepieces are built with two arches that showcase the dial colours of the original DW-5000C, while also incorporating G-SHOCK’s brand colours red and blue.
Both timepieces offer the features of the Classic Origin series too, from the carbon core guard structure, water-resistance, shock and magnetic resistance to high-end durability.
