Dior adds new additions to the Rose des Vents jewellery collection for its 10th anniversary

A creative dream made true by jeweller Victoire de Castellane in 2015 as a tribute to Dior’s heritage, the Rose des Vents jewellery collection has since grown over the years with four distinct stories. This year, the collection will include new additions across all stories to mark its 10th anniversary of passion and audacity.

The story of 2015

Inspired by the mosaic wind rose of Monsieur Dior’s childhood home, the Villa les Rhumbs in Granville, the 2015 Rose des Vents collection became iconic for its playful design and colourful stones.

This year, the collection will see the addition of infinitely refined medallions bordered in rice-grain gold, reminiscent of a navigator’s rope. Each medallion reveals one side adorned with a compass rose, in the form of an eight-pointed gold star, and another side that is enhanced with white mother-of-pearl, pink opal, onyx, or malachite.

The new addition also includes a watch that has been designed to look like a sacred pendulum.

The story of 2018

As a subtle tribute to Christian Dior’s passion for the divinatory arts, the Rose Céleste collection created in 2018, features captivating recto-verso pieces, with the sun and moon symbolising the cardinal points of the wind rose.

The new additions this year continues the homage to Monsieur Dior’s fascination with the stars, using pieces that represent the brilliance of the sun and the mystique of the moon. The medallions are magnified by combinations of gold, mother-of-pearl, onyx and platinum stars, and can be combined with a necklace, ring, or even a Tribal earring; offering the possibility of multiple manners of style.

The story of 2022

The third chapter of Rose des Vents began in 2022 with the introduction of charms and this year will see new charms added in mother-of-pearl and yellow gold punctuated with diamonds that pay tribute to the gris-gris and codes that are dear to Christian Dior.

These include the bee, the rose, and lily of the valley, which are synonymous with good luck, and can be added to a necklace, bracelet, asymmetrical earrings, a brooch, or a transformable ring.

The story of 2024

Etoile des Vents was created in 2024 and reinterprets the Rose des Vents motif as jewellery incarnations of Christian Dior’s 30 Montaigne lucky star — an emblem that brought him luck and encouraged him to start his own Couture House.

This year, the collection features ear cuffs and earrings that have been studded with meticulously set diamonds, combined with yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold to create elegant constellations.

The new additions to the Dior Rose des Vents collection will be available at Dior boutiques from April 2025.
