Josiah Chua presents the SG60 National Costume for Miss Universe Singapore 2025

Newly minted Miss Universe Singapore 2025 Annika Xue Sager will be representing Singapore at the 74th Miss Universe competition in Bangkok this November, and to help make a mark on the international stage, creative designer and stylist, Josiah Chua, has designed an SG60 national costume that is inspired by Singapore’s multicultural heritage.

The striking red ensemble is a modern tribute to unity in diversity and is intricately crafted from textiles that represent the Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian communities. Each layer of the costume symbolises connection, resilience, and inclusivity, echoing the collective spirit that defines Singapore.

In addition to her national costume, Annika will also be walking the stage in an official evening gown by Digio Bridal that pays homage to Singapore’s identity as the Garden City. The gown features flowing layers of sheer fabric which form an ethereal silhouette that moves like a gentle breeze, and cascading floral appliqués in soft lilac, blush, and violet hues that reflect the lush vibrancy of our nation’s tropical landscape.

Annika is set to compete at Miss Universe 2025 in Bangkok on 21 Nov. There will be a Miss Universe Singapore 2025 Send-Off Event on 2 November, 3pm at Changi Airport Terminal 2, Departure Hall.
