Renowned for their travel innovations, RIMOWA is now taking their innovative spirit to the next level in an unprecedented partnership with German design house MYKITA to launch its first-ever eyewear collection.
A collaboration between German Maisons based in Berlin and Cologne, the eyewear collection features pieces that are meticulously handcrafted at MYKITA Haus in Berlin.
Tapping on RIMOWA’s signature lightweight aluminium designs and MYKITA’s advanced eyewear engineering, the MYKITA | RIMOWA collection presents a new generation of iconic sunglasses designs that combines form and function.
The collection showcases two distinct design series — HERITAGE and VISOR.
HERITAGE
Blending MYKITA’s stainless steel craftmanship with RIMOWA’s use of lightweight, anodised aluminium, the HERITAGE series ($1,000) is a reinterpretation of classic sunglasses silhouettes with three archetypal shapes, namely the panto, square, and aviator, to suit a variety of face shapes and styles.

This marks the first time MYKITA uses aluminium for sunglasses and each design is accented with aluminium rings in Silver or Black to add structural stability while paying homage to RIMOWA’s iconic finishes.
The sunglasses come with premium lenses offering 100% UV protection in classic solid tones for superior visual clarity, while the advanced anti-reflective and hard coatings guard against peripheral reflections, and ensures maximum durability.
VISOR
Designed for life on the move, the VISOR series ($870) is a sleek, ultra-lightweight shield concept where ultra-light stainless steel meets a toric lens shield to offer both a horizontal and vertical base curve to create a sleek, contoured fit ideal for navigating modern transit.
As a nod to the beauty of technical innovation, valued by both brands, the MYLON shield clip serves a functional and stylistic purpose.
Designed with specially developed toric lens shield, it offers 100% UV protection in a variety of tones, ranging from solid to semi-transparent or even a subtle mirror effect, while providing wraparound coverage and protection from peripheral glare and reflections.
