As the year draws to a close, CHANEL explores the contrasts of a flamboyant sky and celebrates the beauty and duality of this vast expanse with its Holiday 2025 Makeup Collection, created in by Cécile Paravina, a member of the COMETES COLLECTIVE.
Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s love of the cosmos, the collection features iconic symbols of the CHANEL galaxy, namely the lion, the comet, the camellia, stalks of wheat, and pearls, which appear in shimmering shades to give your complexion, eyes and lips magnetic glints to celebrate the year’s end in style.
LES SIGNES DE CHANEL
Taking inspiration from the radiance of the stars, LES SIGNES DE CHANEL ($113 each) is a duo of blush and highlighter powders that cloak the complexion in soft reflections with a satin-type finish.
In this collection, you’ll find the Rose Lumière with its luminous tones of a soft blueish pink paired with a white pearly pink highlighter, and the Pêche Lumière with its orange wood hues that is enhanced by a white pearly gold highlighter.
Both palettes are embossed with the 5 signs of the House, which can be seen as a constellation.
LES 4 OMBRES
The iconic LES 4 OMBRES palette has been reimagined as an exclusive creation — the LES 4 OMBRES Nuit Astrale ($120) — which features a harmony of cosmic and celestial shades embellished with CHANEL’s five astral symbols.
The palette’s colour includes a matt medium blueish grey, a deep shimmery purple silver, a satiny lavender, and a shimmery aqua blue highlighter.
LE LINER DE CHANEL
Offering a display of dazzling contrast are two new shades of LE LINER DE CHANEL ($60 each). Namely Flamboyant and Écarlate, you can trace metallised orange or red curves along the lash line to mimic the trail of a shooting star. You can even further enhance the gaze with the addition of NOIR ALLURE ($71), a dark blueish grey mascara.
ROUGE ALLURE
Dress your lips with the limited edition ROUGE ALLURE VELVET ($74 each), a luminous matte lipstick that is ultra-comfortable and has a second-skin texture, housed in an iconic case emblazoned with a radiant double C. Two shades are available for this edition: Abstrait, an intense redwood, and Rouge Vie, a redwood.
If you’re looking for a pearlescent look, the ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE ($70 each) makes its debut with two exclusive new shades. The Incandescent is a pearly pink blue magenta red with volcanic undertones inspired from the fiery paths of meteors, while Nébuleuse is a pearly crimson purple that is reminiscent of the hypnotic hues that colour the cosmos.
LE VERNIS
Whether you’re looking to replicate the idea of fire or ice at your fingertips, the collection’s LE VERNIS ($47 each) offers gleaming tones for the holidays featuring the slate blue Cosmique and the metallized orange Alchimiste.
