I’ve been using the Dior Forever cushion foundation since they introduced a matte version two years ago. I start my day with it, and it comes along with me when I travel. Sometime last month, I tried to buy a refill but was told by the Dior beauty counter at Isetan NEX that it was sold out islandwide. A week later, Dior announced the new Dior Forever Cushion Hydra Glow, which adds another option alongside the Skin Glow cushion and matte cushion. When I last checked the Dior online store, all the shades were sold out; and I believe the popularity of these cushions speak for themselves. If you haven’t tried a Dior Forever cushion compact, you should if you can get your hands on one.
The new Hydra Glow cushion has a gorgeous finish — it makes the complexion look soft and smooth, and it has enough coverage to even out light pigmentation and redness on the skin. Skin looks dewy, but not oily; and importantly, it feels comfortably hydrating with coverage that lasts the whole day.
I love that this formula has SPF 50 PA+++ (the matte version includes SPF 35 PA+++), which is sufficient coverage from the sun, and that Dior has launched this new product alongside a beautiful Pink Cannage compact case.
There’s some serious cult following behind Dior’s cushion compacts, and it’s one of those products that once you try it for yourself, you’ll compare everything else to it.
