Expanding beyond what the House is already known for, Louis Vuitton is embarking on a new journey into the world of beauty with its very own elevated make-up line headed by newly appointed Creative Director, Cosmetics for La Beauté, Dame Pat McGrath, DBE.
The partnership with Pat is Louis Vuitton’s way of shaping a universe of beauty through innovation, emotion, and luxury, while setting a new standard in luxury beauty with its debut collection of lipsticks, balms, and eyeshadows.
From rich pigments and exquisite textures in a variety of shades and hues, each product within the collection has been designed to be not just a beauty essential but also a keepsake to be cherished like an heirloom.
LV ROUGE
At the heart of the La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection are 55 shades of lipsticks, each uniquely crafted and selected by Pat McGrath to be universally flattering and brilliantly visionary, which is a testament to her exceptional expertise in make-up and boundless creativity.
The range is available in two finishes — 27 creamy satin hues and 28 velvety matte shades. Each is formulated with upcycled waxes from Rose, Jasmine and Mimosa flowers, and enriched with shea butter and a hyaluronic acid that contributes to an 85% skincare base for long-lasting comfort, 12-hour longer vivid colour for the matte finish, and 24-hour hydration for the satin finish.
Some of the key shades include 896 Monogram Rouge, an elegant burnished red shade; 203 Rose Odyssée, a radiant and warm sienna rose, and 854 Rouge Louis: a rich scarlet red.
The LV Rouge Complete Lipstick is priced at $220 each. Refills are priced at $94 each.
LV BAUME
In addition to the lipsticks, you cannot forget lip balms. The La Beauté Louis Vuitton Baume collection offers a curated wardrobe of 10 sheer glow shades that are designed to nourish, enhance, and leave lips looking increasingly revitalised over time.
Powered by shea butter, a hyaluronic acid, five-flavour berry extract, and upcycled mimosa wax from Grasse, the lightweight balm promises 48-hour hydration, and 24-hour comfort, nutrition, and smoothing effect that will leave you with beautifully nourished and smooth lips.
The three signature shades include 051 Monogram Touch, a sheer interpretation of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Rouge lipstick which transforms sultry burgundy brown into a sheer wash of pigment; 030 Tender Bliss, a delicate touch of pink pearl; and 020 Rose Essentiel, a sheer, light rosewood tint.
The LV Baume Complete Lip Balm is priced at $220 each. Refills are priced at $94 each.
LV OMBRES
The eyes are the windows to the soul and it’s only right that the Louis Vuitton Beauté collection introduces a new language for the eyes with its curated edit of eight harmonies.
Each palette is composed of four eyeshadows featuring three wearable, everyday shades that includes a standout hue that adds dimension and shifts an overall look. The collection explores six finishes from ultra-matte to gleaming glitter, allowing for transformation at every glance.
The vivid hues are designed to blend seamlessly onto the skin using a formula that features LV Pigment Originals in its purest form, Light-Up Technology to reflect light for maximised shine, Plant-Derived Squalane, which contributes to the smoothness of the formula for immediate second-skin comfort, and Camelina Flower Oil Extract to help soften the formula for a comfortable texture.
Three of the star compacts to keep a look out for are the 896 Monogram Rouge, combines the timeless allure of a deep, satin burnished red with the rich brown and caramel tones of the Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas; 150 Beige Memento, offering four harmonious shades from luminous ivory to rich golden bronze; and 250 Nude Mirage, inspired by soft, versatile, neutral rosy shades.
