First established in 2004, the exclusive Hermessence collection is what expresses the essence of Hermès in fragrance. As an object of sensory and essential creation, each scent is a unique and delicate encounter between two materials that the perfumer weaves together with elegance, strength and virtuosity to astonish.
Each Hermessence scent, in its own way, invites you to open up your imagination and seek unprecedented poetic balance, while the House’s emblematic lantern bottle showcases a unique and timeless imprint, complete with its leather cap featuring the saddle stitch signature.

Joining the available scents is the Ginseng Biloba, that leads to along its meandering roots, with their deep, woody aroma and the promise of longevity, towards the most stimulating of olfactory mysteries.
Creative Director of Hermès Perfumes, Christine Nagel, was struck by the image of the golden gingko biloba leaves, which were characterised by their fan shape, and its botanical eccentricity where both male and female organs were found in different trees.
It was the memory of the scent of the crumpled leaves of a male gingko that inspired her to create the Ginseng Biloba eau de parfum — an unprecedented marriage in which ginseng roots and gingko leaves combine their mysteries to mirror the graceful ripples of their botanical structures.

The Ginseng Biloba comes in a bright yellow bottle, which reflects the golden leaves of the gingko biloba tree, in a refillable 100ml size, alongside the Swift calfskin cap with beige saddle-stitching that mirrors the colour of ginseng.
