Disney+ K-Dramas to add to your binge-watch list this year

After an exciting line-up in 2024 where we saw many breakout Korean drama series such as Moving, A Shop For Killers, and Light Shop, 2025 is looking to be another exciting year for us K-Drama fans as Disney+ expands their line-up to include more action, drama, mysterious and betrayal in their upcoming slate of Korean series set to release throughout the year.

Here’s a look at some of the upcoming titles to add to your watchlist.

Unmasked

Following the broadcast of a particularly contentious story, an investigative news team are challenged to accomplish the impossible as they attempt to save their jobs by solving a twenty-year-old cold case which involved a famous actor who disappeared without a trace. The drama stars Kim Hyesoo, Jung Sungil, and Joo Jonghyuk.

Unmasked premieres on Disney+ on 15 January.

Hyper Knife

Featuring notable actors Park Eunbin and Sul Kyunggu, Hyper Knife follows Seok, a visionary neurosurgeon who consistently pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in an operating room. Driven by her need for perfection, she suddenly finds herself stripped of her doctor’s license and tossed aside after crossing her mentor. 

Unwilling to let go of her accolades, Seok continues her work in back-alley operations until her former mentor comes looking for help.

Hyper Knife premieres on Disney+ on 19 March.

Knock-Off

Making his debut, the internationally beloved K-drama actor Kim Soohyun stars alongside Cho Boah in this dramatic series that dives into the murky world of counterfeit goods. The story follows Sungjun, a man who lost everything in the wake of the ’97 Asian Financial Crisis and tries to rebuild his life by rising to the top of the counterfeit market scene.

Tempest

In this Hollywood and Korean crossover series set in modern-day Korea, Tempest follows Munju, a highly accomplished diplomat and former ambassador to the United Nations, and Sanho, an international special agent as they race to uncover the truth behind an attack that threatens the future stability of the Korean Peninsula. 

This exciting action drama stars Korean actors Jun Gianna and Gang Donjon alongside American actors John Cho, Michael Gaston, Christopher Gorham, Spencer Garrett, Alicia Hannah-Kim, and Jacob Bertrand.

Nine Puzzle

This dark criminal mystery follows Yoon Ena, a criminal profiler with a tragic past, who is thrown headfirst into a twisted game created by a serial killer. Determined to catch the killer before they strike again, she teams up with Kim Hanseam, a fellow investigator and her biggest critic, in a story that will keep you guessing until the very end. 

Nine Puzzle stars Big Bet’s Son Sukku and Kim Dami, who makes her Disney+ debut.

Low Life

Fans of Ryu Seungryong would enjoy this drama set in 1970s Korea about an uncle and his nephew who are both willing to take on any job just to make a bit of money. As they struggle to make ends meet, they are tasked to retrieve an ancient treasure that pits them against treasure hunters from across the country. Will they be able to beat the competition and attain the wealth they’ve always desired?

The Murky Stream

In this first-ever Korean period piece for Disney+ set during the Joseon Dynasty in a lawless land, you’ll follow the story of three characters — Jan Siyul, a man who’s hidden his past to become a local gangster; Jung Chun, who dreams of becoming an honest military officer; and the wise and righteous Choi Eun.

The series stars Rowoon, Shin Yeeun, Park Seoham, and Park Jihwan.

The Manipulated

Starring familiar faces Ji Changwook, Doh Kyungsoo, Lee Kwangsoo, and Jo Yoonsu, this upcoming action drama follows Tanjung, a man wrongfully imprisoned for a heinous crime, and is set out for revenge after he discovers that a mysterious figure named Yohan had been behind his downfall.
